A week in Dubai in December

Where do you want to travel?

Your journey will lead you to famous domestic and foreign beauty spots.

A week in Dubai in December

Since we are coming from European country with cold winters and snowy days, this „winter“ in Dubai was a complete energy boost for us. From 0°C degrees, boots and coats to swimming suites and sandals on 30°C.

It was a great travel opportunity because we found great offer for plane tickets with Fly Dubai, got our visas and the excitement was constantly there!

It counts as a high season in Dubai since the temperatures are from 26-30°C degrees in the beginning of December so you can walk and enjoy the city without having troubles with humidity and high temperatures. Since Dubai is man made place with fascinating things all around, we woke up every day more and more excited just of the thought – „What will amaze us today?“.

We made a schedule with all the things and places we wanted to experience while in the Middle East. Here are our tips and suggestions:

1. Dubai Museum, Creek and souks

It is the best to start your trip by getting to know the history of Dubai. Start the day in the Dubai Museum and then take a walk to the Dubai Creek. Take a ride with a traditional arabian boat – Abra and get the real feeling of the Old Dubai and Deira.

Deira is most famous for its traditional markets – souks which are full of people at all times of the day. The Gold Souq is the largest gold bazaar in the world. The Spice Souq sells every imaginable spice and you can smell paprika, saffron, sumac and thyme as well as the fragrant oud wood, rose water and incense. We’ve spent most of our money on the Textile Souq, buying silk scarfs as gifts for home.

For this walk you will need around 5-6 hours.

2. Take a walk in the Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence Walk

It is the most luxurious part of Dubai. Enjoy the perfect design of the twisting skyscrapers and the luxurious yachts at the Yacht Club.

During the day, the views are equally as stunning as in the evening, and you can see many people jogging around the Marina for that reason.

At the end, take a walk to the train that leads to the Palm Island and the famous hotel Atlantis.

3. Do not miss Madinat Jumeirah for the most spectacular view of Burj Al Arab!

4. Spend the day at the beach, because swimming in December is a blesssing

Ok, short and clear:

1. Our favorite place for drinks, beach and party – Barasti Beach Bar for daily beach pleasure with comfortable sunbeds, umbrellas and magnificent view behind, and also for party nights (they serve alcohol).

2. Do not miss also the public Jumeirah beach and swim with the view of Burj Al Arab (no facilities here).

3. Nothing without a rooftop bar! Spend a night with a view, at Level 43 Bar at 4 Points by Sheraton Hotel.

4. Dubai Miracle Garden (if open)
